  Best Time To Fly To Taiwan

The best time to fly to Taiwan is between the months of February – June, as the weather is pleasant, and the summer tourist season has ended.  July - September is the low season in Taiwan and is the best time to find cheap flights to Taiwan. September is the cheapest month to fly to Taiwan.    Cheap Flights From Taiwan

The Taipei International Airport’s central location makes it a great airport to find cheap flights from Taiwan.  There are numerous international airlines that offer cheap flights departing the Taiwan International Airport (TPE).  Most of these international airlines can be booked in the US, Canada, Europe and Asia.  If you plan to fly within Taiwan, you will need to catch a domestic flight from the Taipei International Airport.  Most domestic flights throughout Taiwan are handled by Eva Air.  To catch your domestic flight from the Taoyuan International Airport, you will need to move from the International terminal to the Domestic terminal.  Depending on where you are located in the terminal, you also may need to check your bag through customs and security, so be sure to give yourself at least 2 hours to connect to your domestic flight within the airport.

  Taiwan Airport Transportation

The Taipei Taoyuan International Airport is located 51 km north-east of Taipei's city center.  When you are ready to depart the Taipei International Aiport, you will need to work out your ground transportation.  The best way to travel from the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport to the city of Taipei is to take the MRT metro system.   If you are staying in the city of Taipei, the Taipei Metro is a great way to get around the city as well.  If you are planning on traveling outside of Taipei or if you want to visit other cities within Taiwan, you will probably want to hire a rental car.  You can either rent a car at the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport or take a taxi into the city center and rent a car at one of the rental car stations in Taipei.  The public transportation system is great in Taipei you can get anywhere by the bus, taxi or train once you are in the city center.  If you are planning on traveling to other cities within Taiwan, you will probably want to hire a rental car.  You can either rent a car at the Taipei Airport or take a taxi into the city center, and rent a car at one of the many rental car offices in Taipei.
